Materials & Production

Construction Supported by Our Own Production

Anderson Columbia operates its own asphalt plants and is affiliated with aggregate, sand, and rail-served material operations. That combination keeps our paving crews supplied and gives outside customers a direct materials source.

Asphalt Production

Over 10 company-operated asphalt plants across Florida, several of them mobile, producing Superpave and conventional mixes. Plants are certified by the Florida State Board of Professional Engineers, FTBA, FAA, and USACE, and accredited by AASHTO's AMRL program.

Aggregate & Sand Operations

Affiliated operations include A Mining Group, supplying washed sand meeting FDOT, USGA, and ASTM specifications since 2004, and Corridor Mining, operating an aggregate yard in Orlando selling granite products.

Rail & Logistics

Junction City Mining supplies asphalt mixes, landscaping material, railroad ballast, and bedding stone, supporting rail and heavy-material logistics alongside our highway materials supply chain.

Materials Sales

Asphalt, sand, topsoil, mulch, and aggregate products are available to residential, commercial, and municipal customers directly from our plants and yards, not just our own paving crews.

Our Company

Built on Experience. Accountable in the Field.

Anderson Columbia was built from the ground up by Joe Anderson Jr. (1939–2016). In 1958, between the ages of 18 and 19, he started Anderson Contracting in Dixie County, Florida, with one dump truck and a tractor. That company became the foundation for what Anderson Columbia is today: a family-owned, vertically integrated heavy civil contractor operating across Florida and Texas.

Our teams bring the equipment, materials production, and field experience to handle highway, bridge, and site work at scale — and to stand behind the quality of the finished product.

Safety, Managed in the Field

Safety is treated as an operating discipline, not a slogan. Work zones and project environments are routinely checked for safety issues, Maintenance of Traffic controllers are placed to protect workers and the public, and each region we operate in has a dedicated safety director who reviews work habits, incidents, and procedures on an ongoing basis.
